I am seeking confirmable B.D.M. information on my gt grandfather THOMAS GAFFNEY whose parents were JOHN GAFFNEY and MARY FITZGERALD.<br>Thomas Gaffney was born in about 1839 and emigrated to Australia on the "Mindoro" in 1857. He left from Dublin and arrived in Port Phillip.<p>I'm also looking for information on EDWARD CLARKE born in Elphin Roscommon in (c)1817. He married BRIDGET COONEY there and migrated to Australia on the "Crusader" in 1840. Edward Clarke's parents were EDWARD CLARKE and BRIDGET KELAHER, and his wife,Bridget Cooney's parents were JOHN and MARY COONEY.<p>Thanks!<p>

You said in an earlier posting that you had the records for Kilronan checked but found nothing. Remember that marriages usually took place in the bride's parish so the key might be to find where Mary Fitzgerald originally came from rather than Thomas Gaffney.<p>Good Luck <p><br>
