Mulreed. Co. Roscommon before 1901.

Any ideas. This is very rare spelling. Only one I have found was a Domnick<br>Mulreed in 1901 census in Clare. Record says he is 23 yr old male<br>from Co.Roscommon. In US we have Mulreed going back to 1840's in<br>New York but lose connections before then. Only other Mulreed<br>I have found outside of USA was a Sgt. James Mulreed, 29th foot<br>worcestershire. Served during Indian Mutiny 1857-59. I am assuming<br>he was Irish and pressed into service (or volunteered) Anyone know<br>of census or other records I can search in Co. Roscommon in <br>1860-1900.<br>I am aware of other spellings but I think that the Mulreed spelling<br>must not be a mistake as it shows up in America and British Army<br>in 1850's<br>Thanks

No Mulread, Mullread or Mullreed; just Mulreed.<p>
