I am searching for information on my grandmother, Anna Mary or Ann Mary Keegan. She was born around the turn of the century in Roscommon, emigrated to the U.S., worked in Boston, Mass for a time, married James Kirkman, and died in childbirth around 1924. She had two brothers, Bernard, or Barney, and I think the second brother was Patrick. I would be very grateful for any information on this family.

Keegan Family
Re: Keegan Family
The 1901 Census Database on this site has a two-year old Mary (daughter of Ann) with a brother Peter in Drum Parish.
My Keegan aunts, Anne and Brigid, also went to Boston in this time period but they were from Drumreilly Parish in Leitrim. They lost contact with the family and we don't know what became of them.
Have you searched the Ellis island site yet for her ?
Sharon

I saw that there were 1,437 people listed under the name of "Keegan". Go there and see if you can locate your ancestors - most of them give a townland or area of where they were from in Ireland.
Good luck.
