Post by Debra Stanavech »

Seeking information on gggrandfather. Michael Dagnan (Deignan)emigrated from Ireland through Liverpool to New York, NY USA in June 1853. He moved west to Indiana where he married Lucy Ann Truss in 1858. They had 3 children John C., Sarah, and Thomas. Around 1860 they moved to St.Anne, Illinois. Michael died there in 1863(?). The last name was eventually changed to Dagnen by my gggrandfather, John C. Michael was a Catholic and Lucy a Dunkard but converted after their marriage. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Re your ancestors, have you checked into any US census records?

Hi Debra, my name is Sue Moreland. My maiden name is Dagnan.
I am searching for information on my ancestor. His name is Francis
Duignan. He had a brother, Michael. I haven't yet found anyone that
can link my ancestor with the many Francis Duignan's. Seems that both
names are fairly common. The link would be the Mothers name. She was
Juda Donohue Duignan. IS she part of your genalogy? That would be
great to make that connection.
Sue Moreland
sued@americainter.net

eking information on gggrandfather.
