Wisley/Wiseley

Post by Nuala Quinn »

Looking for some information on the Wiseley family from Queen's County Laois/Offaly from 1800's to around 1960's. I think the name is of English origin and they may have been land owners at the time of the famine. Margaret Wiseley worked in service for a doctor and his wife and moved to Coleraine, Co Derry at the turn of the century. She married Hugh Olphert and had 3 children. She had two brothers and two sisters. Kathleen did not marry and moved to Dublin, John worked the land.
