Sharkey/Sharket

As children, we used to visit some Sharkey's in Ohio. No one in my family seems to know how they were related to us although my father is sure they were cousins.<p>I now have found a woman whom I am pretty sure is my great grandaunt named Dorothy Dolan married a Thomas Sharket.<p>What I need to know is whether Sharket and Sharkey are probably the same people?<p>Any information would be helpful. I've been checking on my Sharkeys for several years and have discovered that it is pretty common to see the name as "Sharket" with one or 2 t's.
