REYNOLDS, William. Leitrim to Pennsylvania in 1762

Post by Alan Reynolds »

William Reynolds was the grandfather of Civil War General John Fulton Reynolds, and the father of John Reynolds, Esq., publisher of the Lancaster (PA) Journal. William married Catherine LeFevre, a descendent of Hugenots Danile & Mary Ferree. Son John married Lydia Moore, daughter of Revolutionary War Captain Samuel Moore. Trying to identify Irish parents or siblings of William Reynolds, believed to be from Leitrim before emigrating as a young man in 1762. He died in 1801.

Since I don't have the man's name, I can't find a marriage with the information on it. I cannot located the girls baptismal records either. I could use some help.

: William Reynolds was the grandfather of Civil War General John Fulton Reynolds, and the father of John Reynolds, Esq., publisher of the Lancaster (PA) Journal. Reynolds was born in Mohill in 1783 and immigrated to NY before 1805. I'm not having any luck finding anything there during that era. Pat
