DRUMADORN - HIGGINS/MCGARRY

Post by yvonne »

I am searching information on the family of my ggrandfather, Patrick Higgins, born c1835 to Timothy Higgins and Katherine McGarry in Drumadorn. I think I have found the Griffiths evaluation, but cannot confirm. Patrick had joined the Irish Constabulary stationed in Roscommon. He left in 1864 to emigrate to Australia. I believe a brother, Michael went to America and a couple of the McGarry relatives also came here to Oz, but unconfirmed. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
kindest regards, yvonne in oz
