I am very interested in any tie with other Dolan in Carbon or Schuylkill county during the the pre 1860 period of labor troubles in the coal mines.

He and brother John Dolan b <br>ca 1825 came over on the "Mary Pleasants" which shipped out of Liverpool April 1852.<br>Peter married Mary Gilliam and there children were<br>James, Anthony Martin, Joseph, Mary A, and John.<p>John Dolan, married Margaret Woods in Pittston, PA<br>Her parents were Patrick and Mary Woods from Ireland. He was a coal<br>miner and also served in the US Civil War, 133rd PA Volunteers. He<br>died of blank lung disease in 1897 in Mt. Carmel, PA. John and Margaret had at least one known daughter, Ellen who married Thomas Castle of Phila. When<br>Margaret died in 1907 in Phila., Johns remains, <br>and that of a "Mary Hyland" were brought down to<br>St. Denis Cemetery in Havertown, PA. Mary was only<br>33 when she died supposedly giving birth.<p>I have never been able to find the birthplace for<br>the Dolan's or the Gilliams.
