I finally found out my g-g-grandmothers name. She was
Bridget Beirne. She was married to James Moran and lived in Roscommon Co. (probably Strokestown). Their daughter Susan Moran (g-grandmother) was born on 1 March 1879 and she married Michael Ryan on 18 April 1893.Since I'm about to research this line (Beirne) I was wondering if anybody had any insight to this family. Thanks for any help.

Re: Beirne/Moran
Our family comes from RC parish of Gortleteragh, near Mohill, across the line in Leitrim. I've been to Strokestown Manor (home of the new Famine Museum). There's an Irish singer/guitar player Named Gerry O'Beirne, whose father was born and raised in Strokestown, and there are still lots of Beirne/O'Beirnes in and around there. Gerry is touring the US lately with a Scottish singer named Andy Stewart. His father lived in Dublin about a year ago when I last saw Gerry. Good luck. I know this isn't heavy duty info - just some interesting bits.
