Trying to find info on my great grandfather Hugh O'Brien who was born in Ireland in 1824. He married Mary Cannon in the mid to late 1850s. He came to Chicago, IL USA in the late 1840s or early 1850s.<p>Just recently found brothers and sisters, after 52 years who did know I had. This how I found the O'Briens. Would appreciate any help at all.<p>If you look at Griffith's Valuation for Kilglass Parish, you will find several Cannon or Caneen families, for instance in Tully and Moyglass. <p>correction to Apr 5, 1998 posting. Hugh O'Brien was born in May 1826 in County Mayo, I believe.<p>Mary Cannon was born in Aug 1836. She had brother John who was also born in Ireland.
