My grandmother, Catherine Flynn, was born in 1884 in Drumkeerin (Tawneylea). She had sisters named Bridget, Annie (Currestine), Margaret (also married name of Flynn) and other siblings in Tawneylea that never came to America. My grandmother (Kate Flynn) married Luke Farrell from Ballymahon, Co. Longford and had 4 daughters, Dorothy, Anne, Catherine, and my mother - Eleanor.
