There was an Irish colony in Clarksville, Missouri (north of St Louis, on the Missouri River) in the 1860s, and some Roscommon families were in that colony. Two names were COLE (COLL?) and COGAN. Other names that may or may not be from Roscommon were Mulleagues, Dwyers, Glenns, McDonalds,
Donnely, Williamson, Richmonds and Berrys. These families moved by wagon train from Clarksville to near Bon Homme, Dakota Territory in the late 1860s.
