Hi,
I have been told that my ancestors were from the Roscommon (maybe SLigo) area in Ireland but noone has definitive information. I know the following:
James QUINN married Margaret CUNELLY....
They had son Michael QUINN b 5/1860 who married Annie CONNOLLY b 2/14/1861 in Sligo and had 9 children. They went to England before emigratingn to the USA and settling in West ORange, NJ. Annie's mother was Bridget (maiden name unknown) b Jan 1830
Other grandfather was Michael LANNON born Nov 10, 1870 in Co Roscommon. He married Anna JONES who was born March 7, 1867.
Does any of this look related to you? Any tips on how to find where to begin looking.....thanks in advance
Nancy A. Daniels, Holliston, MA USA

CONNOLLY, QUINN, LANNON..trying to find...
Re: CONNOLLY, QUINN,
You may wish to look in Ballintubber barony too. There is a Quinn family from Ballykilcline, Kilglass parish who were on the land as tenent farmers in 1847 and before.
Catherine, age 30 in 1847.
Hugh, age 6,son
James,8,son
Anne,3,daughter
Catherine, 17, no specifed relationship.
This family left during the State-aided emigration in 1847. They appear on a ship, Creole, that left Liverpool for New York. Save the names incase research leads you to a larger family earlior in time.
