Iam trying to locate where Travers family originated<br>in Ireland and was told Co Leitrim is a possibility.<br>His great grandfather was Owen Travers and his<br>wife was Ann, She arrived in Phila April 1864 with<br>children but without him. She may have a widow.<br>One of the children was my hesband's grandfather<br>Edward. He stayed in Phila and owned a tavern. He<br>died in 1882 at the age of 32. Any info would be <br>greatly appreciated.

: Thrilled to find another Travers researcher. I <br>don't know if I'm related to your Travers, however. <br>My gggrandfther was Bartholomew Travers married to <br>Catherine Rooney or Mooney. They were from Co. <br>Leitrim either the Dromohair or Manorhamiliton area.<br>They settled in Manhatten and they did have a son<br>named Owen. It seems these were the two main Travers families from<br>Co. Leitrim so if we trace them back I'm sure there<br>is a connection. Hope so. Let me know. Jeanne
