: ARE THERE ANY FAMILY MEMBERS OF THE TIERNAN FAMILY OF
: ROSCOMMON
Can't help with Tiernans from Roscommon as known fact, but I am researching Tiernan's related to the O'Neill family of Leitrim in the Union of Mohill, Parish of Cloone and Gortletteragh. At the moment I am running into a dead end and wonder if there are any connections to Roscommon of this branch?
I have Ellen Tiernan (my grandmother) married to Daniel O'Neill of Cattan Townland. She was the daughter of John Tiernan b. August 11, 1870 and Mary Tiernan (same maiden name) b. February 3, 1874.
Parents of John Tiernan were Patrick Tiernan married on March 24, 1862, to Bridget Moran.
Parents of Mary Tiernan were Terence Tiernan and Mary Conefry who married March 3, 1862. They had 10 children that I can see.
Any connections?
