There is a statue of Sean Macdiarmada in the center of the little town of Kiltycloger in Northern Leitrim which we saw last year while visiting there. I have a picture of that statue if you would care to have a copy of it. Mary L. Casey

The townland I believe is Corranmore. My great aunt Bea Keany married a Terrence McDermott. A Mrs. Dolan of Corranmore acts as the keeper of the home of Sean McDermott and she can probably be reached by mail through Corranmore, County Leitrim, Ireland. There is a small but wonderful biography of Sean written by Father Travers that has great pictures and a great deal of detail about his life.

I visited Let./Don. area in the summer of 1994 and ended up staying on for 5 months as a barman in Bundoran,Donegal. While there I stayed with my grand uncle Terry Croal(originally of Rossinver,Letreim). He told me while I was there that he was a relative,in what manner I do not recall now, of Sean Mac Diarmada's. If you find any information on a family tree for the Mac Diarmada clan please let me know.
