I am looking for information about my g grandfather, <br>Michael P. Kelly, born May 1, 1820 in county Roscommon.<br>By 1850, he had moved to Petersburg, Illinois in U.S.A. <br>and had married Mary Hogan, also from Ireland. They <br>had seven sons...Thomas, Nicholas, Richard, James,<br>Andrew, John and Francis. They also had three daughters:<br>Winnefred, Honora, and Mary. Has anyone already <br>researched them? How do I find out where he and she <br>were born in County Roscommon?

I<br>: :My interests are in the names Neary and Murray.<br>However, my g-grandfather's Godparents were called<br>James and Mary Kelly. This was in Birmingham (UK)<br>around 1839. James and Mary Kelly dropped from<br>view in England (from census returns) and they<br>could have gone to America (where everyone went if they<br>had enough money). <p>Should you come across the above Kelly's anywhere, <br>please let me know. It's quite possible they hailked<br>from the same village as my Neary's - and that's<br>the object of the exercise - trying to trace the<br>origins of my Neary and Murray ancestors.<p>Sorry I couldn't help you in any way....<p>Cheers!
