Post by lisa Brennan »

Searching for my relitives, decendents of Thomas and Mary Regan Brennan, who emigrated to Greenwich, Connecticut, USA around 1895. Our family visited you in the 1960s and you were all still there...I am Thomas and Marys' great grand-daughter and I am looking for you!! E-mail at Bhraonain@proaxis.com

H i Pat, I also wrote stuff to you under your inquiry about the Brennans. Thank you for answering my letter. Anyway, no I do not know if they are decendents of William Brennan...first of all my Brennans left Ireland at the turn of the century and settled in the New Haven, and Greenwich Conn. area. My grandfather went back to visit their decendents still in Carrick in 1965 and had a great time. So, who ever is still in Carrick, and I am hoping they still are there, I am trying to contact. Carrick On Shannon is located on the Shannon right between county Roscommon and counnty Leitrim and between Upper Lough Erne and Lough Ree. I have never looked back into our history because my family only just emigrated recently from Ireland (1895ish) and more recently from Norway on Mom's side (1924). My main concern now is to find the Brennans of whom I am a decendent in Carrick and make contact. I am from New Haven and there is a good chance we are of the same group. Lets keep in touch.
