: I came across this message and was wondering if anyone had any success in finding information. I'm trying to also find the history of the Degnan/Mehan(sp?) family. I am researching a Martin Degnan, married to Margaret Mehan (sp?). Martin died circa 1909. One of their sons was Martin Leo Degnan born 7/26/1897 in Wilkes Barre, PA. Margaret had a sister named Ann and I believe Ann's married name was Gallagher. If you have any information on this line of the Degnan's please e-mail me.
: : I am researching the surnames of MEEHAN and DEGNAN. I have very limited information on both. I believe that both families are from the Leitrim and Roscommon areas. However I do not know exactly where. Patrick and Ann MEHANN immigrated to Scotland prior to moving on to the USA. Their daughter Margaret was married to Martin Degnan. Thanks for any help.
