James DOWD was born abt. 1810 in Roscommon. Sons were Francis, born abt. 1838 and James, born abt. 1840, in Roscommon. Next sighting is in Bolton England when Francis married Jane HYNES in 1866 and James married Ellen Higginson in 1867.
