[Peter J. Moran]

I am Peter James Moran(1945 to yet to be determined), son of James Patrick (1913 - 1991). His father, James (Patrick also I believe) was a first generation, arriving in NYC as a young lad. Nothing much was ever said about James Senior, except that he got into some bad whiskey during proabition. Poor guy! In a few years I hope to have the time to trace my roots. Based on what I have heard about my famuly's past, they certainly weren't encouraging it. One of those "don't look back". If anyone has comments, or suggestions please let me know. <br>

This is the 'root' family I am from and have more information on:<br>John Moran, born 1791<br>Winifred, wife, born 1803<br>Francis, born 1840, son<br>John, born 1832,son<br>Catherine, born 1837, daughter<br>All were from Co. Roscommon,Kilglass parish, Ballykilcline Townland. All left on 26 Sept. 1847 from Liverpool for NY on ship 'Metoka'. They were only in Liverpool waiting for the ship to leave. Please e-mail me direcly if they can be in your family line, even if a possible generation back.<p><br>
