Giblin's from Charlestown

Post by Marianne »

I was amazed to see the number of postings about Giblin's from Mayo. My grandfather's name was John Giblin, born in or around 1880. He had several brothers (Michael and James) who all immigrated to Philadelphia area in early 1900's. Anyone having additional info on this clan, please let me hear from you. Looking forward to it!

My great grandmother was Mary Giblin m. to Hugh McNama in 1872. Her dgt Margaret and son Pat immigrated to Phila. about 1900. Changed their name to McNamara. Mary Giblin's father was Bernard Giblin and they lived in Leitrim Co., Dromahaire District. I know nothing more of the family.
Hope you have some info or connections.
