I cannot help you with the book but the Roscommon town museum has just obtained some of the estate papers for the Crofton estate. Depends whether you can get there of course but they make facinating reading.
: Does anyone know where I might find an "out of print" copy of the following book? I am interested in the area south of Roscommon Town, which includes the Crofton Estate. Thanks In Advance.
: Crofton Memoirs: Account of John Crofton of Ballymurray, Co Roscommon, His Ancestors and Others Bearing His Name. York, 1911. Crofton, H.,
I have a copy of "The Story of Mote" by Francis Crofton (1895).
