CAHALANs from Roscommon

<br>My dad and I are just beginning an investigation into our Irish ancestry. He believes our relatives came from Loughlinn, Co. Roscommon. Also, there was a marriage to a Sarah Mangan and I saw a previous message posted by Linda Mangan who mentioned a Katherine Managan in Loughlinn. It seems the name CAHALAN is not very common. Also searching for a family of Calahan/Callahan/Callaghans from Roscommon. My Great grandmother emigrated from Roscommon, it is said, in the 1800s, married a Patrick Conway in Cleveland, OH in 1862, and lived with him for more than 50 years. We have no idea where in Roscommon Jane came from; she had two sisters - Elizabeth and Hanorah, and a brother Luke, who served in the US Cavalry and was a policeman in Cleveland. : My grandfather was Daniel Cahalin, he was born in Cloonagh Roscommon. His father was Patrick Cahalan born approx 1861. He married maria Kenny approx 1888, they lived in Corracommeen Roscommon and had in total 11 children. Patricks father was called Peter Cahelin. I have had trouble finding the name Cahalin ( also Cahalan and Cahelin are the older spellings ) If any of this information is of any help let me know as I can also tell you the names of my great grandfathers ( Patrick ) children.<p><br>
