Mulvey/Lenahan Relatives in Carric-on Shannon area

Post by Peter Mulvey »

I am planning a trip to Roscommon in September and would like to locate any descendants of Francis Lenahan, who would be about 100 if still alive. I know he had 5 children, one who was in New York about 20 years ago, but I believe the rest stayed. We lost contact with them about 1970 as well as with the Mulvey/Lowe/Mcgreevey branch in Ardlava.
Any info would be appreciated. Also the name of a good B&B in this area for five(3 bedrooms) Thanks.

However, my father Peter Mulvey left Ireland in 1929, leaving behind his father (also Peter) and sisters Bridget and Molly. Bridget married Martin Lowe and stayed on the farm as the oldest and her letters were from Ardlava. Molly married Richard Mcgreevey and wrote from Rinn, Carrick-on-Shannon which I think is close by. A john Mcgreevey used to visit us in New jersey when we were young but his exact relationship is unknown. We are also cousins to a priest, Father Patrick Lane, last known at St. Mary's in Athlone in 1970, and Hunt and Mcgarry. Thanks for your input, does this fit your man Brendan?
