Seeking the John Whelan line (Whalen now) from<br>Ireland to PEI and Halifax,NS in the early 1800s.<br>Whalen married Bridget DOYLE and their WHALEN children include: Daniel,James,John, Thomas, Patrick and Peter, possibly sisters to these.<br>Son Thomas WHALEN married Ellen LONERGAN of Ireland to Canada, approx 1870, and this couple had son Thomas, born approx 1875. Thomas married Jessie MACLEOD (MCLEOD) of PEI,NS,Canada, and had daughters Dorothy and Margaret and son James WHALEN (1900--1989) Jessie died circa 1902-1905. Their son James raised a family of six children in Suffolk County,Mass with his wife Lillian(nee CONNORS) Any information, or links to any of these surnames would be greatly appreciated.<br>RW in Mass.
