Yes Jean, you can hold dual citizenship with Ireland and America. Do a search for dual citizenship, Irish/American, I have found info on this topic pretty easily, unfortunaly I haven't the links. If you want to get an Irish Passport you will need the usual birth certs and marriage certs for your parents. I don't think there is any oath of allegance involved that might conflict with your U.S. citizenship. Under American law I believe a dual citizen can travel abroad on their Irish passport but must use their U.S. passport to leave and enter the country.<p>
