My gg and great Grandfathers both share the same given name Owen. According to the 1880 U.S. census they were both born in Ireland, the elder about 1796 and the younger in 1842. Place of origin is unknown before W. Pa. in 1880. I believe they may have left Ireland between 1865 and 1870? Owen the younger married Martha O'Donnell of Clearfield Twp. in Butler County Pa.. Unfortunately the church were I believe they were married burned in 1947 and all records were lost. Owen Jr.'s Father-in law, Daniel O'Donnell bought a small farm in Buffalo Twp. in said county, and sold it to Owen Jr. in 1878, by holding a note. Daniel bequeathed it to his daughter, Martha, in 1885. Can anyone help? I have found lots on the O'Donnell side of my family but NOTHING more on the McDermott side other than what I have place here. If you should know of anything it would be very much appreciated. Owen Sr. b. 1796 d ?
Owen Jr. b. 1842 d 1895
Martha b. 1846 d 1910

Thank you,
John
