My Great Grandfather was James ODowd married Catherine Clarknwho was probably born in Manchester England ca 1853. They moved to Jermyn PA USA in 1883 . My Grandfather was James ODowd probably born in 1872 in Manchester Eng. I suspect that they relocated because of the famine ,although<br>my Gfather said that his father was involved in 1867 uprising lost an eyenand was imprisioned in Dublin Castle. My gggfather was in Carrick-on-shannon m.Ceila Shanley had son James ODowd b.1850's m Catherine Clark b 1853 Manchester Eng. James b 1850's in 1867 uprising lost an eye imprisioned in Dublin Castle. Had my gfather in Manchester went to Canadas ?? ended up in Jermyn Pa USA as coal miner. Since they were in Eng maybe some offshoot? Jack Galuardi<br>
