In 1864 my great-grandfather, Patrick Shannon, listed his residence {on his marriage certificate}as Cloodnamona. A Pat Shannon was also listed in 1830 as a Freeholder in the Barony of Roscommon at Cloodnamona. However, that placename is apparently not an official Townland, and the Heritage Center has advised me that the postal authorities cannot identify its whereabouts. The only clue I have is that a Francis Eagan was also listed as living there in the 1830 list of Roscommon Barony Freeholders. Does anyone have any idea where Cloodnamona is?
