Hello, My great-great-grandfather, Bartholomew Spellman, was born in Co Roscommon on June 16, 1824. He arrived in New York, USA on May 6, 1844. Anyone with information on Spellmans in Roscommon between 1820-1845, please write! In particular, I am interested in finding out more about Bartholomew's family. My father is from between Boyle and Frenchpark Co Roscommon and all my life I have heard stories of an amazing character in his area called Barney (obviously Bartholomew) Spellman. I would guess he was born betweeen 1890-1910. I'll find out more )<p>
