There is nothing that comes<br>remotely close in this index. The Griffiths<br>Valuation coved the time period of 1857 - 1858.<p>The closest name that starts with "L" and ends<br>with "tt" is LOVETT. There were no occurrences<br>of LOVETT in the Griffiths, however there was<br>mention of LOVETT in the Tithe Applotment books.<br>LOVETT was found in the Barony of Ballintober<br>South. The Tithe Applotment covered a time period<br>from 1823 - 1838.<p>If we really stretch it a little, there was one<br>LIPSITT recorded in the Griffiths Valuation in the<br>Barony of Castlereagh.<p>If you are convinced that your ancestors came from<br>Roscommon, perhaps you should also consider a<br>name/spelling change after arrival in the U.S.<br>You mention an extensive family tree, does this<br>include any records from Ireland, or is it all<br>U.S. documents?<p>There are many avenues of approach that you can<br>follow up on here in the U.S. If you wish to <br>review some of these with me, drop me an email and<br>I can outline some possible resources that you may<br>not have looked at yet.<p>Ed Finn<br>efinn@thecore.com<br></b><p><br>
