Looking for family genelogy before or after 1846

Post by Debra Ardwin »

My great-great-great-great-grandfather sailed to America on a ship in 1846 with his two other brothers. Their name was McGonigal. We can find no records of anyone before these three brothers. If you have any information about ANY McGonigals anywhere, please contact me at the address given.

For example there are a couple dozen in Clonmany alone. So that's where to start if you know no other. Expect to find some in Leitrim and Sligo too.<p>
