Looking for information about my great grandfather Patrick McDermott who emigrated to New York from Liverpool in April 1845 with his brothers Samual and Francis. The National Geneology Office told me I could not find his county of origin without his parents' names and/or his parish of origin. Since I don't have that information I wonder if there are any other resources available?<br>

Also, seek wills and gravestones that may hold a clue to the county or Townland. If all else fails, look for the 3 first names in all Ireland idex to find a commen county. Did the ship they came on provide a clue?<br>
