Re: McKeon in Leitirm
My Grandmother Catherine was from Drumkeerin, she married Bernard Forde, but was nee McKeon. At one time she lived in North Attleborough MA, where her brother Joe was at one time Police Chief. I would be interested to hear if there is any other connection: : Looking for a Miles McKeon who was married to Bridget McDermott, lived somewhere near Kiltrubrid or such. Peter Joseph McKeon, known in America as "Joe", had three sisters: Celia (who lived with Joe in North Attleborough), Bridget (who returned to Ireland and married), and Catherine (who married a Mr. Ford in Ireland). My grandfather had kept a scrapbook which contains some photos of McKeon woman which I am trying to identify, as well as others which are labelled. At the present time I am researching some of the descendents who were priests for the parish millenium celebration. I have more information and would love to share it if you are interested. <p>
