Searching for information on gr. grandfather, Daniel Lally -b. Jan. 14, 1844 in Briarsfield (according to his death cert.) Co. Roscommon. I can find no trace of him until he married Augusta Hughes on Feb. 27, 1981 in E. Letart, Ohio. I do not know the names of his parents, if he had brothers or sisters or when he arrived in the U.S. I can't find Briarsfield on a map of Ireland. Any information would be appreciated.

Any information would be appreciated.<p>It's most likely that you should look at BRIERFIELD which was parish of Cloonygormican. The mailing address is now Brierfield, Ballinasloe. Lots of Lally's in that area although none in Brierfield today.
