Michael Gilhooley

Post by Carol Scott »

Michael Gilhooley is the name of my grandfather. He left Ireland around the mid 1800's. Family myths say he was from the Sligo area but I have reason to believe he may have been born in the Leitrim Roscommon area. Have tried most avenues but it is as though he never existed. Any ideas?

Carol, I have some information about the Gilhooly families from Kilronan Parish. If you would care to e-mail me, I will try to help.
Did you find out anything from other
sources?? It's always hard with such a common name as Michael.
