Bolands of South Roscommon

Post by John Boland »

I am trying to gather info. on a Boland family of Glantaune, Creagh, Ballinasloe,at the beginning of th 18th century. One of the family, Thomas,(1812-17/3/1879) married a Maria Page on 4/2/1854. Thomas had a sister called Helen or Ellen, but so far I have not been able to trace other members of the family. Some may have emigrated to U.S.Any help would be appreciated<br>John Boland

Is not Michael Boland and family in nearby Tulrush, Creagh parish a relative; he's in the 1901 Census. He was a mason; maybe he moved and built a new house for himself. A descendant is in the phonebook. Also, you'll find many named Page in Kilkeevin parish in Griffith's, in 1901 and today. Also one in Ballinasloe today.
