My great grandmother, Catharine "Katie/Kate" NOLAN was born about 1861 in County Roscommon,Ireland. When she was about 4 years of age she emigrated with her family to Brooklyn, New York where she married in 1881 and died in 1892. (The family left from County Galway.)<p>Katie is the daughter of Michael NOLAN and Jane O'BRIEN who must have married in Ireland as they had children born there. I estimate they left Ireland after 1864 but before 1867. I do not know either the township or parish of their residence in County Roscommon to begin researching there and any advice, suggestions or helpful hints will be gratefully appreciated. (Death and marriage records and US censuses merely state Ireland as birthplace.)<p>I've included a chart of her family; however, I have found conflicting birthdates on all.<p>Descendants of Michael NOLAN<p>1.
