Tenants of John Parr, Laheen SOuth (Doyle of Mohill)

Post by Tom Coughlan »

I am trying to find details of the subtenants of one John Parr, who was the main tenant of Lord Leitrim for the lands in Laheen South, Mohill, from about 1800 to about 1850. Unfortunately, the Rent Records of Lord Leitrim's estate show only Parr as the tenant, without any information on the subtenants. I need this information to try to find the father of my g-g-grandfather, Nicholas DOyle, and also to try to establish the links between Nicholas and the other Doyle families in Laheen South in 1857. Does anyone have any information that would help?

Doyle of Mohill

Hi,

Have you come across Arthur Doyle, born Mohill around 1862 ? His father was James Doyle. James' occupation in 1894 was a soldier.

Thanks,
