Cemetery name

Post by Gsulli1121 »

I received a letter naming the cemetery that my ggf John Harte along with wife Mary Clancy/ Harte are buried but I cannot be sure of the spelling or location. The name appears to be Killanummery Carracrin. I can not find it on any map and was wondering if anyone can help.
I contacted the Leitrim Genealogy Centre but they sent me information on the Ballinger New Graveyard. I had already visited that graveyard on my last visit to Ireland. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is cemetery in Carrowcrin townland, Killanummery Civil parish.

For a photo of the cemetery and part list of surnames see

http://homepage.eircom.net/~kevm/Churches.htm

I suggest you also look at the Killery cemetery list of surnames.

Carrowcrin townland is three mile South of Drumhair village and 2.5 miles East of Ballintober village.

Carrowcrin townland is in Killenummery & Killery Catholic Parish. Part of the Catholic parish is in County Sligo.

See Irish Ordnance Survey Discovery Series road map number 25. The maps are readily available worldwide.

Suggest you use search engine www.1Xquick.com and search for Carrowcrin.
