James

Rourkes still occupy the same Farm. Son of Lizzie Rourke (who I remember from my childhood) Unsure but its either Patsy or Barney. My family were neighbours (Clynes from up the lane). I am still a regular visitor to the area

Hi Neil
I notice some Clynes from Drumcroy (close to Aghadrumcarn) moved to the US in 1913 and possibly also 1902. Do you have these?

Thanks Jim

Not aware of Clynes in Drumcroy, though I an aware of Clynes in Drumnid (Great Uncle). I know of Drumcroy, on the the Keshcarrigan crossroads about 1 mile north of Mohill. As you say, close to Aghadrumcarn, so there may well be a link.

As well as the Rourkes, I have vague recollections of the Kellys, Bohans and McLoughlins from Aghadrumcarn.
I can remember Lizzie Rourke telling me stories of 'Little People' from the fairy fort - I didn't realise at the time that there is an actual cairne at the back of the house. I was very young at the time, but great memories!!
