Higgins, Ann / Grace, Luke

I am trying to break thru a brick wall.
GGrandmother =Ann Higgins b.1822-1825
GGrandfather = Luke Grace b. 1818-1820
Both were Catholic.
Both were born Ireland but County is unknown.
Luke Grace arrival in USA c. 1846-1850.
Ann Higgins arrival in USA is unknown.
Port of Entry to USA = unknown
Marriage location = unknown.

Lived in Cleveland, Ohio - raised 4 children born between 1853 - 1861.

Has anybody seen either of these names in Ireland records, ie;
birth, baptism, marriage, etc.

Both names appear all over Ireland according to the Irish Times site. Try looking at other Irish immigrants in SC. Most tended to go where they had contacts--cours there had to be the first one.If you find a high number of Irish from a particular county, that might be a good place to start. Have you looked at the baptismal and marriage records? sometimes you get lucky and the county is listed. Cemetery records? I had no idea that the people I was researching had their parish and townland on their tombstones despite the fact that I had attended manyl a funeral in the cememtery when I was young. Very annoyed when I made the trk 2 years ago just to get dates and found the additioinal info!
