Mooney's of Doogarymore, Kilteevan, Co Roscommon

Post by John F Mooney »

We have information about the Mooney's of Doogarymore, Kilteevan parish, and are seeking to supplement it with information about descendants in America. The early Mooney's in Roscommon married into the Hanley family and the Harlow family. Many of John Mooney and Rachel Harlow's chidren (Doogarymore) emigrated to New York in the 1890's and 1900's.
John F Mooney

John: My grandfather was James Mooney, who came over with his father, Thomas, in the 1890's, landing in New York City and settling in the Bronx. Reliable sources tell me they did *not* come through Ellis Island.
any connection?
