Related Surname Info: My great-great grandfather was James Neilon, born County Roscommon about 1817. He married Sarah Monica Gallagher in 1839. Their sons Edward (b. 1844) and Patrick (b. 1848) and daughter Mariah (b. 1846) were born in Ireland before the family emigrated to the United States about 1850. James, however, had come to the US prior to his marriage.
Together with the Gallaghers, they settled in Collin County, Texas. I'm searching for more information about their Irish roots.
