Related Surname Info: Sarah Ellen Gallagher was my great great grandmother. She was born in County Roscommon in 1825, and married James Neilon in 1839. Three of their children were born in County Roscommon.

Sarah's brother James Gallagher (b. 1829) left Ireland after the death of his parents, James and Monica. With his other siblings, Michael, Teresa, John, and Mary Ann, and their aunt Ellen Gallagher, James emigrated to the United States.

Together with the Neilons, the Gallaghers settled in Collin County, Texas in the mid 1850\'s.

I'm searching for more information about the Gallagher's Irish roots.
