Researching GEORGE MOON born abt 1837 (according to later census in Manchester, where he was married to JULIA QUINN, also of Roscommon).
He may be the son of ROBERT MOON, labourer and ie bp 11 Jun 1834. Also 3 siblings, but is Atholone Roscommon or Westmeath? I'm not sure.
There is a Robert Moon mentioned as a recipient of the Irish Reproductive loans in Sep 1847 in Ratra? Tibohine parish.
Does anyone know anything about this Robert or any MOONs in Athlone area. They are not in the Griffiths.
