County: Leitrim
Civil Parish: Rowan
Townland: Muckros
Related Surname Info: Looking for descendants of Patrick Forde who married Anne Wynn from Innishmagrath and settled in Muckros, Fenagh Parish. Children were: James, b. 1854; Charles, b. 1856, Ellen, b. 1858 (Chas. & Ellen may have died young.) sons Wm b. 1860, Francis, b. 1864, Thaomas b. 1866 and Patrick, whose brother Francis was "double entered" in the Fenagh RC baptism book, was probably.... well, 1862? Ford was also spelled Forde. Any and all responses welcome. The five Ford boys who emigrated settled in New Haven, CT, within a five-block radius of each other in Sacred Heart Parish. Bernard, my grandfather, was illiterate. His grandchildren have come a long, long way, thanks in part to the hard work of their parents, who were first-generation born in US.
