Hello there..I have a small book on the history of the Nangle family.<br>The original name was De Angular and the first one in Ireland was a Norman knight who was one of ten such knights who supported Strongbow..the leader of the Norman invasion. He was given land in Co Meath and spread from there to Leitrim/Roscommon area. The French translation of the name means "Of the Angel"<br>Best regards in your search
